Fundraising Challenges

Set a fundraising goal and challenge your friends, family, colleagues or even your favorite businesses to help you achieve it! We can do more with the support of our networks so ask them to join in the fun, whether it’s individuals raising money and collecting supplies or a restaurant or other business sharing proceeds raised during a School on Wheels benefit. Donate Your Birthday

You can donate your birthday or any other holiday to School on Wheels. Instead of receiving presents you don’t really want or need, you can ask your family and friends to give to School on Wheels instead. Cash donations and school supplies from our Amazon wishlist equip the children we serve to succeed academically. Let us know what you are planning by filling out our event form. School uniforms, after school snacks and books are all items on our rotating list of needs. These supplies help ensure our students are prepared for each school day and that they are rewarded for their work in tutoring. We don’t stop at tutoring.

Homework completion and improved grade level skills are critical to achieving academic success. But being enrolled in the right school, accessing transportation, and developing the social and emotional skills necessary to learn are foundational.

That’s why we work with school and shelter partners, social workers, teachers, and the parents of the children we serve each day. From providing support to preschool-aged children and their parents to delivering educationally-based case management services at transitional and permanent supportive housing sites for families who have exited homelessness, we walk with families impacted by homelessness every step of the way.
